At Shape, we tailor each workshop to your needs and objectives. Customized simulations with skilled actors combined with immediate feedback enable participants to discover the impact of what they say and how they say it; to learn what works and what doesn't. Unlike real life, participants have the opportunity to take what they've learned and apply it right away, revisiting the interaction on the spot for an optimal, hands-on learning experience.

Role-playing with well trained specialists is a highly effective tool for assessment, developing new client approaches, fine-tuning what you already have in place or learning to manage challenging conversations. Whatever your reasons or objectives, we will help you shape a learning experience to be drawn upon again and again.

The written word is a particular passion here at Shape. Web copy, ad copy, press releases and reports all have one thing in common- they have an audience. We believe that audience is owed some respect; they certainly shouldn't have to fight to stay awake while reading your content. We work with you to get the information right, then work for your audience to make that information interesting. And as a part of the Collective Intelligence Network, we access formidable skills: graphic design, interior design, writing, marketing, public relations, publicity and more. Shape Communications
was launched in 2008 by Jacquie Thillaye as a vehicle for her diverse skill sets. Her personal professional experience (in communication skills development, public relations, facilitation, retail management, customer service, event coordination, and performance) combined with her volunteer experience make her a formidable project leader; her love of writing allows her to offer well-crafted, clear text and copy appropriate to a range of requirements. Creative, energetic and positive, Jacquie has an innate ability to motivate the people she connects with, and uses her skills and connections to access the right people for a given project.

Jacquie received official recognition by Halifax Mayor Peter Kelly and by MLA Maureen MacDonald for her volunteer efforts as President of the Halifax Skatepark Coalition, having steered from start to finish a 4 year, $600,000 fund raising project to build the new Commons Skateboard Park in downtown Halifax.
